Frocktails is tomorrow night! We are sold out, BUT if there is a last minute ticket to be traded, it will go up on Instagram. My apologies to those not on Instagram, but it has the most visibility for our attendees and sponsors at this time, and I did promise I wouldn’t ever spam you with email. You can always email me directly beckyjopdx at iCloud dot com. I will be posting on Instagram throughout the year more events, events from our sponsors and such, so if you just open an account for that, it might be worth it?
More sponsors announced on Instagram:
LOVE Besty & SBCC patterns! Between SBCC above, and Named below, special petite and tall sizing is covered.
Named Patterns are based on a 5’8″ block!
Seamwork really came through this year with a lot of great stuff: door prize of 1 full year of Seamwork, first 30 people through the door get high quality Seamwork bags with Colette Patterns, AND we have the most lux Seamwork lanyards on our name tags.
Pipe Dream Patterns are a personal favorite of mine. Based on a C/D cup block, it’s so nice to not have to put as much effort into an FBA, and she’s got a special talent for coat designs. I will be wearing one of her patterns to the event this year.
Wiksten Patterns. What can I say? When I think of Jenny’s work, I think of things like Charles and Ray Eames, or the perfect 3-chord song. It seems like it’s simple, but making something timeless and elegant out of simple takes real talent.
If you know me personally, it’s no secret I’m a huge fan of Queen Bee Creations quality products. We have an array of lovely door prizes generously donated.
Without Karleen of the Sewing Studio, and the next 3 sponsors, to be honest, our Portland Frocktails just wouldn’t be the same. I’ll tell you a secret about Karleen: not only does she have impeccable taste, she has the best sense of humor. I highly recommend making sure you get time to talk to her.
Helen has skillz for dayz. Helen is one of those people you could just sit and listen to for hours and still not get every tip and trick she knows.
Bini of Josephine’s Dry Goods and her dearest Justin donate the space and photography. That is HUGE. It sets the tone for our entire event. I’m an experienced event planner and I know most of the event spaces in Portland… no one does anything quite like our event. It is truly special and I am forever grateful.
We’ve had a few more special treats added on as well, such as a door prize pattern bundle from Sewhouse7 (another one of my personal favorites.) Â We will have a pattern swap table, a couple hands-on crafts tables, and plenty of photography prompts to get you moving around the room and get your sewcializing ON! See you very soon!
Love,
B
